    My media players only play audio. How do I fix this?I am about to pull my hair out with this one:Any video file of any type (avi, asf, wmv, aihtynng) will not play on WMP 9, WMP 11, WMP Classic, or DVIX Player. I have downloaded video codec pack after video codec pack and none seem to work. I have tried CCCP and K-light codec pack and still nothing. After each install I restart my computer just to be sure. I have rolled back WMP and reinstalled and updated and still nothing.I get good audio. I think I get audio just because my computer is taunting me. To clarify, I get audio on all media players with all media formats. I get no error messages. I have XP Pro fully updated w/ SP3.Intel Core 2 Duo 3.33 GHz2 GB RAMNvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 w/ fully updated video drivers.I have tried searching for the answer myself, but all I get is either no monitor video troubleshooting or codec information.One final bit of information I can provide is that I can watch some videos from google as long as they don’t use wmp plug-in. I can watch YouTube but not wmv’s online.Please help and thank you for your time.I have no problems playing games, just watching videos.Tried VLC and same problem. Audio works but no video. I’m tired of installing new codec packs and video players. That makes about 5 codec packs and 7 different players that all do the exact same thing.Great audio, no video.I reinstalled my video drivers from the Nvidia website. I also did a window’s update, but no updates were needed.No joy.
